Rappahannock is a vibrant center for the arts with artists across the county working in every medium—painting, printmaking, sculpture, stained glass, metal forging, fine woodcraft, mixed media, floral artistry, photography and pottery.
The Fall Art Tour is a signature event drawing more than 1,200 visitors over a two-day weekend. In 2019, eight galleries and more than 40 studios with about 100 artists were on the tour. RAAC (Rappahannock Association for Arts in the Community) hosts the tour each year on the first full weekend of November. RAAC also sponsors theater performances, movies, Second Friday talks and other programs.
