We are bringing our 2012 Petit Verdot out of the cellar for one month only!  This Petit Verdot has a wonderful nose of earthy forest floor (no snow here!). This wine is included in our add-on tasting for the month of March along with our 2013 Finale Port. Treat yourself to a flight of gourmet dark chocolate truffles – delicious on their own and even better when paired with the red portion of our tasting flight. We are hosting our own idea of March Madness!  Back by popular demand, is a flight of 3 vintages of Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon for $18. Vote for your favorite and the winning vintage will be featured by the glass in April! St. Patrick’s Day Pre Party!  Fiddlin’ Dave Van Deventer and Morgan Morrison (half the Furnace Mountain Band) have been blending the sounds of the fiddle and bouzouki for 20 plus years.  Playing and singing a mixture of originals, world music and Old-Time fiddle tunes, the couple are sure to keep you dancing.  7:30 to 10:30 pm.

Contemporary artist Joe de Feo, landscape painter Kevin Adams and glass artist Candi Durusu each have unique ways of seeing the world.  Resident artist Kevin Adams brings a realistic and yet softly sentimental view to his work, whereas Durusu looks for the stories that glass wants to express as it comes out of her hands. de Feo is inspired by the structure of biology, chemistry, and math.  They are featured in an exclusive exhibition that will transport you!

Magic mountain girl and folkish songwriter Maddi Mae performs 2- 5 pm.  Patty Sevre, master glass engraving artist, will be in the tasting room Saturday 3/14 and Sunday 3/15, selling beautifully engraved glass items. She also offers custom engraving on wine glasses and assorted other glass items while you wait! 

 

Middle Street Gallery  – 325A Middle St., Washington, VA  22747

This year the 20 gallery members are joined by 15 artistic friends for the annual Members and Friends show. This exhibit represents the epitome of the gallery’s mission to support quality, innovation and collaboration in the arts. Exhibition through March 22.  Open Fri. – Sun. 10 am – 5 pm

Make your reservation for a Sip-and-Paint workshop with local painter Dennis King who will introduce you to the world of watercolor.  The class is primarily directed to new painters but those with experience will profit, too.  Learn about  paint, brushes and paper selection as well as brush strokes, color blending and washes.  You will  have fun and learn the basics as you paint a cone flower.  The class is limited to 8 people and the $35 ticket includes all supplies needed plus your first glass of wine!  Reserve here. Following class, join in the Holi celebration to welcome spring and also enjoy the music of Aubrey Driggers from 1 – 4 pm.
